Thus, APG India strives to -

• Advancement of the science of geology especially as it relates to petroleum, natural gas, other subsurface fluids and mineral resources
• Bring together Petroleum Geologists under a single platform to discuss projects related to geosciences
• Offer a platform to Petroleum Geologists for techno economic & scientific discussions
• Deliberate and plan ways and means to support worth-while educational and scientific programs
• Organise seminars and discussion panels on exploration and exploitation of Hydrocarbon Resources in India & abroad
• Foster the spirit of scientific research through its members
